Write about how you could apply the communication process to future situations to improve outcomes. Remember, the communication process uses the mental and physical energy of people who speak, listen, use nonverbal behaviors, and interpret the verbal and nonverbal behaviors.

When I'm working on a job and I have a rude customer I'm assisting , this is where my communication skills come in because of i say the wrong thing I could loose my job but if I use appropriate communication skills it could lead to me not getting fired and maybe even getting a raise for being a good employee.

That is true. Using formal language could ease the costumer. Anything wrong you say could have of course have consequences.

Dyamond, this is a good example of how you can use the communication process to improve outcomes. When someone is rude and your boss sees you still being respectful then the outcome of that communication with that customer looks good on you versus if you would have responded by being rude then like you said you could end up being fired.

In a job situation especially it's good to use formal language.

Maybe a way to improve the outcomes using communication is probably at a job interview. Job interviews say alot of stuff even if nothing is said. A great way to communicate is by using formal language with the person who is interviewing you. You also might want to know what the job requires so you speak about your experience on that specific task.

It's like what was said in class, you're first impression is very important. So I agree with you when you say to use formal language during a job interview.

I think a way I could apply it to improve the outcomes is to make sure that my intentional message is the actual message. I have realized sometimes when I am speaking to someone what I meat to say is not what is conveyed at all therefore making my actual message different from my intentional message.

Sometimes it gets hard to say what you mean and communicate your true point.

Heather, it's difficult to produce a message to other people since they may not understand the same way that you understand it.

yes heather, most of the time everything we think about saying sounds better in our mind then when we say it out loud

It can be very easy for a message to get lost during the communication process. Because everyone's experiences and ways of processing information are different, there tends to be a lot of different interpretations of messages. Speaking clearly with purpose can make a huge difference.

I think in a future situation, like helping a customer at work, I could keep in mind the noise and communicating the message clearly (communication process). Sometimes at the register there could be many people speaking at once which causes me to loose a little focus on customer I'm attending. I'm getting the hang of it, but by keeping the communication process in mind would help me to be even better.

The best way to improve outcomes when it comes to communication is to use language appropriate for the situation. Different types of communication are used between different people and situations. It isn't appropriate to use informal language in the workplace or during an interview, but it would be appropriate to use around your friends.

Exactly, you wouldn't talk to your boss the same way you talk to your friends. It could get you in trouble depending on the type of boss they are.

In my job there is a lot of noise from the parents at soccer games and I could possibly communicate more effectively to the coaches because the noises can make communication difficult. Communicating with coaches especially is important and with parents yelling at there kids it gets pretty hard to be effective. I'm still learning on how to be very efficient with communicating out on the field but I've made a lot of progress.

I can apply the communication process to future situations to improve outcomes by using the type of formal language that comes with the job of being a lawyer. Since I want to be a lawyer, I must have a lengthy vocabulary to help the judge understand what I am saying in the courtroom. But when I am with my client, I must dumb it down for the average person know what I am doing for them. It also means for myself that I always will learn new things because the law is always changing so I must communicate with others to effectively learn the law and help other people in the process.

There is a lot of formal language in being a lawyer. But over practice, one can lear ways to "influence" the jury (depending your stand).

Being a lawyer is a hard job. However I'm sure that if you study hard enough and find ways to expand your vocabulary you could achieve your goal and become a great speaker in the court.

I can use the communication process to have higher chances of outcomes that benefit me and the other persons involved. I can use nonverbals that are appropriate for the situation as well as language. If it is a formal setting, I could use proper and appropriate language instead of language that I would use say when I'm around my friends. These factors can determine outcomes because someone will not take you seriously if you are not speaking in a proper manner and acting too casually. For example if you were to speak in front of a judge you would want to speak formally and with proper diction. You would not want to use slang and improper articulation or enunciation like you do when around your peers.

There are many ways one could improve their communication skills. One of the best ways would be to know when to use certain type of language and certain expressions. This could come in handy when speaking to your boss at work or your counselor at school and by doing so it could allow you to have better communication with them.

In order to improve outcomes in the near future we will have to face things we may not want to for example when faced with unexpected news we may become upset, frustrated, angry or very happy and excited, depending what the situation is, It is helpful to recognise how we react to things emotionally and to think of different ways in which emotions can be controlled if we need to communicate information which may have an emotional effect on another person, it is helpful to know what that effect might be and be careful with what we say or write accordingly.

It can be extremely helpful to be in control of your emotions, especially in means on communication. It can sometimes be difficult to give somebody upsetting news, because we are not able to hold our emotions back. Being able to communicate no matter what the situation is is a very good quality to have.

I think listening and understanding are the biggest part of communication. If you don't understand what the person is saying then why attempt to communicate?
