My family and I don't really celebrate Labor Day. We might go out to eat because there's no school or work but, other than that we its a normal day. I think the poster is saying women did a great job at working as well as men.

Our family doesn't really celebrate it at all. No school and no work so just stay with family or go to a park. The poster view is a good one, and it is true.

Labor Day as I know it, is a day to just relax and not work. To me though, its just another normal day, nothing special about it. I am sure to other, it does mean something. For my family and I, we just treat it like another day to help around the house. Maybe the poster is saying that everyone is a hard worker and that everyone should have a day off. Go figure.

I've never actually thought about what Labor day is until today actually. I think it's just a day to give a lot of the working people in America a little break. My family doesn't celebrate it really. Unless just acting like it's part of the weekend is celebrating. When I would hear the word "Labor Day", I would just think that Monday we're off school in the second week every year. I think the poster is saying "good job on your work out there America. So take a day off" or something like that.

To me Labor Day has always been a day that I don't have school and my parents don't have to work. To celebrate Labor Day my family and I normally stay home all day and don't do much; it's more a day that we relax and spend time together as a family. I don't think anyone has really ever communicated to me what Labor Day really is other than a day off of school and work. I think that the poster is trying to communicate that people have worked hard and they need a day to spend with their families.

To me Labor Day means a day that is off to celebrate to work you have completed through the year and a day to relax and enjoy yourself. It has been communicated to me as more of a day to just relax and not about the work you've completed. Then poster makes it clear that it was not exactly a recently added national holiday because the poster depicts a world war 2 poster. The poster also makes it clear that it's about the work you have done.

To me Labor Day is a commemoration to all of the hard work that Americans have devoted into building our great nation from the ground up essentially. My family and I choose to celebrate Labor Day by relaxing all day, going out to eat at a restaurant and having a great time. The meaning of Labor Day was communicated to me in U.S. History class last year, we discussed it's meaning on the actual day and what the holiday signified. I believe the poster above signifies the sacrifices and devotion the American people have had to this country. We are to celebrate our accomplishments and hard work. This poster is from World War 2 (without the labor day caption) when American troops were sent to Europe and Japan, women and some children were called to the work force while the men were fighting the war. I believe that instance exemplifies the purpose of Labor Day. That the American people can accomplish anything even in states of emergency.

Labor day in my words would be that we work all year to have a day off to appreciate all that we have done in our jobs. Normally, my family and I would have lunch with my grandparents but this year I spent time with my mom and I went and played golf with a guy I go to church with. The meaning of Labor Day has been communicated to me as we have a day off from school and my parents had the day off as well so I would get to spend time with them. Like I had said in the beginning, it shows that we, as the U.S, have worked hard all year so we should have a day to reflex on all the good tasks we have accomplished.
