My career goal is to become a counselor for teenagers. Knowing that one of my strengths is being reality-based will help in this career because I will be able to give teenagers practical ways to get through what they are going through. One weakness that will taking some working on in this career is not being a very verbal person. I will have to learn to speak to people and be comfortable with it. The brain dominance test will help me because it shows me what some more of my strengths are and I can use those strengths to help me accomplish my goal of becoming a counselor.

My Career goal is to be an art teacher, especially to high school kids. I want to help the kids that think that nobody cares and there isn't anything i'm better at than art so i thought that would be a pretty neat thing to do. Being a high school teacher must be very difficult, but if you are truly passionate about what you teach, you can connect with your students that are truly passionate about what they are learning, and it will help them succeed if they know that their teacher really cares about the subject and wants to help them become more interested in it!

My goal is to enter aerospace industry. Knowing yourself in this field is extremely important as you need to be both precise and accurate while being able to work well under pressure, or lives may be at stake or worse. As a more engineering and math focused field, there is a higher likelihood that most people in it will be leaning more towards left hemispherical dominance, and sharing that dominance may allow me to connect better with those people, helping me find a career there.

My career goal is to become a journeyman electrician. At the moment I am taking electrical classes at Grayson County College for dual credit. Knowing my strengths and weaknesses will assist me in pursuing my career goal because it identifies areas I need to work on, for example human interaction, I would have to work on that area so I could succeed much better. If the criteria in a mandatory field is not met then I could use that information to change my career goal. Knowing my brain dominance can assist me in obtaining my career goal because I know what works well with my brain. I think linearly and scientifically so choosing a career in that area would be better than selecting a career to pursue such as art, or some other creative hobby.

My career goal is to become a registered nurse. I find the medical field very interesting, and it has always appealed to me. Right-brained people tend to be more concerned with the big picture, which is an important quality for people in the medical field to have. They have to go above and beyond to save people's lives. They are required to do everything they can to get to the "big picture". My results for the hemispheric dominance inventory was 10-9, so I do also possess some left-brained characteristics as well. The left side of the brain deals with math/science which is what the medical field revolves around! I know that I have traits from both sides of the brain, which would make me an excellent addition to the medical field.

Now, I don't know my career goal. "You should think of it now, you are a senior." I know but if I were to give you an answer, it will be a lie. I enjoy numbers, I enjoy math, but to say I'd like to be a teacher, I wouldn't be giving you a 100% sure answer. I do enjoy law, I get to know my rights, but to say to become a layer, I am not sure. All of that I am certain that in any career I choose will involve communicating with others. The dominant side of brain will help me further my knowledge of myself and what I would like to become.
