About Mrs. D
Mrs. D has been working in and with theatrical and dance productions all over east Texas for 25+ years. Originally from Rockwall, she is a director, choreographer, graphic artist, scenic and prop designer, crew manager and carpenter who clears and organizes space for uninhibited, physical truth. She weaves together her lived experiences. Mrs. D has made space and taken on work that allows her to support others, spark conversation, create collaboratively, and pursue endless explorations in movement. She is passionate about art as a means to build a team. Mrs. D has worked with and in such theatrical productions as Mousetrap, The Play that Goes Wrong, The Color of Our Gold, Everybody Loves Opal, Leading Ladies, and Annie the Musical; to name a few. She has choreographed and coached students in reaching their full potential as competitors in state and national drill and theatrical competitions; earning them top honors. Mrs. D is trained in lyrical, hip hop, jazz and contemporary genres of dance. Off Stage, she enjoys owning and operating her own creative business studio. Mrs. D has created and sold her graphic designs to organizations and individuals all over the United States. Additionally, she coaches students at the state and national level in oral interpretation, theatrical design, film and computer applications at academic competitions Mrs. D enjoys designing, fishing, vacationing and spending time with family. Her greatest achievement, though, is her marriage to her husband, Chris, of 24 years and her two amazing kids, Alyx and Chandler.
